Electronic Keyboard

  • Age Group
  • Description of Programme

An electronic keyboard is a digital keyboard instrument, offering sampled sound or synthesized sounds to produce music. The arranger models include accompanying beats that create a full ensemble performance. The keyboard is a very popular instrument that is liked by all ages due to its ease of use and easy portability.
The FSM Rockstar Electronic Keyboard course has been developed by renowned educationist Rowan Parker who has over 25 years of teaching experience and is a much sought after examiner and curriculum developer. The Rockstar course is ground breaking as it offers the unique proposition of being able to start playing almost immediately and in the preferred style of popular music. Although, it makes efforts to get students off the ground almost immediately, its emphasis on music fundamentals and essential drum technique is not in any way minimized.  At every stage of learning, you will experience emphasis on technique, workouts, performances, sight reading, listening as well as creating / composing your own tunes.  Custom created backing tracks creates an experience of playing in a live band and motivates students to learn more.
    Structure / Duration:
The Curriculum is structured in progressive levels of difficulty. The duration for each semester is 20 weeks.  Students can work towards taking an examination from renowned International boards like Trinity College, London’s Rock & Pop examinations, at the end of their course.
We provide the best in class infrastructure with each student having his instrument. Each student is supplied the Rockstar course which includes a book and CD with backing tracks.
The Rockstar Course has been designed to allow students of different instruments to play together in a band depending on their level. Similar pieces are shared across instruments and learners of keyboards, drums & guitars so they can create music together with effortless ease.
Opportunities for performance development include recitals and annual concerts.
